VeriFacts
Honors Coach of the Year
Rookie of the Year Also Honored
Detroit, MI , May 19, 2008
— VeriFacts Automotive has presented it’s annual Coach
of the Year Award to Don Peers, a 39-year veteran of the collision
repair industry from Nebraska. Peers is an ASE Master Certified
technician, has earned his AAM (Accredited Automotive Manager) from
AMI, is a member of both the I-CAR and Nebraska Auto Body Associations
Halls of Fame and an active I-CAR instructor.
The award was given during the annual VeriFacts Coaches Conference
held in Detroit. “It is a pleasure to work with Don and he
exemplifies all the makings of a great coach. He has been coaching
with us all over the country and Canada for a number of years. He
understands the technicians, is patient with them when needed and
tough when he needs to be. He has the uncommon ability to push a
technician to their limit without breaking them leaving them truly
empowered. He truly brings out the best in people and it shows in
the development of the technicians that he coaches,” said
Mark Olson, the COO of VeriFacts.
Also honored at the VeriFacts Coaches Conference was George Szabo.
Szabo, one of VeriFact’s newest coaches, was presented the
Rookie of the Year award. Szabo has 38 years of experience, has
a masters degree in collision repair from Hungary and has received
special training from Mercedes Benz, Cellette and more. “He
is passionate about coaching and improving quality.” said
Mark Olson.
According to VeriFacts’ CEO and President, Farzam Afshar,
“Our coaches have an average of 30+ years of experience in
collision repair. Their backgrounds include being professional trainers
through I-CAR, as college professors, and insurance companies. Each
has extensive hands-on experience as technicians, estimators, managers
and owners as well as insurance industry experience as adjuster
and more. The VeriFacts technical coaching staff carries over 600
collective years of experience in the Collision Repair Industry.”
